Andrew and Erinn Kary are both CU students who will be graduating this May. Recently, they were nominated for Peace Corps service as English teachers in Latin America, and they are scheduled to leave in September 2012. When they return, their current plan is to attend Medical and Physical Therapy school while continuing to serve their community. Andrew is a senior undergraduate Mechanical Engineering major and is also receiving a certificate in Biomedical Engineering. He is currently tutoring ESL, and has also taught pottery classes and bike maintenance classes. Andrew is a Research Assistant in the Neuromechanics Lab at CU, and recently designed, built, and programmed a balancing robot: http://www.youtube.com/user/akary/videos. Andrew's interests include programming, biomechanics, manufacturing, sewing, circuitry, and, of course, bicycles.
Erinn is a senior undergraduate Integrative Physiology major and is also receiving a certificate in Neuroscience. She is the Outreach Coordinator for CU's Student Worker Alliance Program, which offers free ESL classes to CU immigrant employees. Erinn will be interning at Community Cycles this summer as the Assistant to the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator. Erinn's interests include neuroscience, singing opera, biomechanics, non-profits, anteaters, and bicycles.
