June is Walk & Bike Month in Boulder!
Once again Community Cycles is organizing this celebration of walking and biking. We have over 85 fun events. You can go on a ride, enjoy a hike, learn mountain bike skills, check out Valmont Bike Park, learn how to fix your bike, and get tips of how to use your bike more often. There are parties and social events geared to people who love to bike. Of course the big highlight events return- Bike to Work Day on June 27th, Clips of Beer and Faith Film Festival on June 29th and the B360 Circle Boulder by Bicycle Ride on June 3rd. Don't forget to make your ride count and Register for Bike to Work Day. (The more bike trips we have, the more bikes count in the transportation planning process!).

Elevations and Community Cycles - Bicycle Recycling Drive & Celebration Event
Saturday, June 2nd, Noon – 3:00 pm
At Community Cycles main shop

Join Elevations Credit Union by creating a culture of cycling and support local non-profit Community Cycles.
The tax-deductible donation of your bicycle or parts will be matched with a cash donation from Elevations. Celebrate the success of this campaign by joining us for a June 2nd celebration event at Community Cycles with DJs, food,and fun. Bicycles will be collected from May 1 to May 31 at five Elevations locations. Call Elevations at 303.443.4672 x1121 to coordinate your donation.

May 20, 2012 - Boulder Bicycle Swap |

The Boulder Bicycle swap will be held May 20th 2012 10am to 4pm. Vendor set up begins at 8am.
The Boulder Bicycle Swap is now in its second year. We had over 1000 attendees in 2011. We plan to make this another great year with more vendors and events.

May 25, 2012 - Monthly Volunteer Meeting |

Community Cycles holds meetings on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. for high-level volunteers who volunteer regularly. We will discuss upcoming events and volunteer opportunities, talk about changes and improvements to our programs, and discuss different ways of further improving our programs. We always have food during these meetings. You can make a difference in our organization by joining or founding a committee at one of these meetings to tackle the issues discussed.
If you are interested in doing the Earn-A-Bike program, you do not need to attend this meeting. Please refer to the Earn-A-Bike webpage.
If you are interested in volunteering but are unskilled in bike mechanics, please let us know what other skills you'd like to offer on our General Volunteer signup form. If you are interested in volunteering while learning bike mechanics, please attend some of our Saturday Morning Worshops and Volunteer Trainings |
